Our clinical expertise includes the assessment and treatment of problems of childhood as well as adult problems . Our services are guided by the best practices and ethical standards of the profession of psychology. A conjoint psychotherapy model for children and adolescents ages 3 to 18 who are experiencing significant emotional and behavioral difficulties related to traumatic life events.
With more than 28 programs across St. Louis, Cook, and Carlton counties MN, and Douglas County WI we are proud to be the largest mental health and recovery services provider in our community. The Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services program provides rehabilitation services to individuals so they can live independently in the community or gain skills in order to live independently. Services are provided to people who have a mental illness, have difficulty in their ability to live independently and meet the medical necessity criteria for the service. Participants must be a recipient or be eligible for Minnesota's Medical Assistance or PMAP Health Plan programs. Human development centers as they exist today serve individuals with developmental disabilities. “Developmental disability” refers to the presence of severe and chronic impairments, typically present since birth or a very young age, that persist throughout a person’s life.

The Human Development Center houses the Child Development Labs, which provide undergraduate and graduate students with supervised experiential training in early child development. For some residents, living in the community is a realized goal with the assistance of habilitation services provided in the HDC environment. The Conway HDC has identified an initiative to aid in easier transition to community settings, continued emphasis on resident self-empowerment, and increased community exposure. Our Services And Programs
The Counseling and Human Development Center provides confidential counseling. Located at 325 White Hall on the Kent Campus, the Center offers individual and group counseling services. All services are provided free of cost to Kent State students, staff and faculty and at very little future university in egypt cost to the community. Offers psychiatric and psychotherapeutic evaluations, treatment and medication management services for adults, adolescents and children. Our BHH Team collaborates with the individual and healthcare providers to develop an individualized plan of care.

This was the launch of what would become the human development centers. The level of care provided to residents of the human development centers depends upon the individual needs and capabilities of each resident. While the HDCs each provide twenty-four-hour medical care and therapy services to their residents, slight differences exist in the services offered at each facility. Examples of services provided include speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, psychological services, social services, and dietary evaluations. Specialized medical services such as dental, pharmaceutical, audiological, x-ray, and orthotic services are also made available depending on the center. Recreational and vocational services are strongly encouraged at all of the HDCs.
These services are provided at all HDC locations and include evaluations, treatment, and medication management of depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric disorders. Our staff of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses are skilled in pharmacology for children and adults. HDC has three offices, conveniently located in Bel Air, Columbia, and Ellicott City.
